How to care for your leather bag

With the right care, your leather bag will continue to look beautiful and serve you well for years. Regular cleaning, gentle conditioning, protection from moisture and sunlight, and proper storage all help preserve its durability, character, and natural elegance.

When your bag has gathered dust and is dirt, gently wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth before applying any recommended leather cleaning product.

For more stubborn dirt, use a suitable leather cleaner and wipe the entire piece gently and evenly. Avoid spot cleaning, as this may affect the finish or colour consistency.

Over time, leather may naturally lose some of its oils, which can cause it to dry out or fade. When this happens, apply a thin, even layer of good-quality leather conditioner and allow the bag to air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight.

Please avoid placing your leather bag on wet surfaces, as leather can absorb moisture and this may lead to discolouration. If your bag gets wet, for example in the rain, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature.

When your bag is not in use, fill it gently with soft paper or a similar material to help maintain its shape.

For best results, make leather care part of your routine: wipe your bag after use to remove lingering oils and dirt, attend to stains as soon as possible, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat sources.
